11月8日 To Celebrate a Sunny November Weekend...It's Baking Weekend again~!
I couldn't let the sun shine by without taking some pictures of my baking effort!
Honestly, this week has been my fourth attempt to come up with a moist, honey cake loaf, but I still couldn't get the formula right...
So! I figured I'll stop mucking with honey and do plain chocolate brownies instead.
The result? - Not as airy as cake, nor North American brownie sugary dense...
More like a chocolate pound cake texture...
I'll be eating yet another failed project, but as long as it's chocolate and sweet, I guess it's not too bad this time around.

Too bad there wasn't enough sunshine for my cellphone to take proper colored pictures, but I suppose just for progress journaling purposes, this will do.
10月25日 First time Cooking Fresh Fruit Tarts... This had turned out to be one~ sour apple tart! Ha! and there I was worrying that the brown sugar would be too much when I was maddly dusting it...
Nevertheless, the tart looks quite pretty for a first time novice right?!

 -- 1/2 Tbs of baking soda/salt instead of the intended 1/2 tsp makes a big inedible difference! (meaning another ruined two dozen + of cookies~~)
But~ having discovered that 박지윤 has finally came out with her 7th 앨범 has made me feel a whole lot better!

Passed by Little Portugal somehow, 'cause I started walking from Bathurst and Bloor.
Finished my mini Central West tour at Dundas Chinatown.  Treated myself to some bakery goods on my subway and bus ride to home. |
